Benno Engström is a telecom management professional with a long time experience in international consulting in telecom services, management and organisation development, and human resource development.

Presently he is engaged by Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) as the Program Manager for Sida sponsored international telecom management training programs.

Benno Engström has a B.Sc. in Telecom Engineering from the Swedish Telecom College (Teleskolan, Stockholm) and University studies to a BA level in sociology, psychology and economics.

Benno Engström started in Telia 1963 and has 39 years in the Telecom Industry. His experience in consulting adds up to extensive international experience in defining projects, planning and implementation of telecom consulting services within the areas of management and organisational development, network planning and human resource development.

Benno has worked nationally and internationally and his personal client base includes banks, international organisations and institutions: ITU, the World Bank, Kreditanstalt für Widerbau (KfW), Telia Academy, and Televerket/Telia.

His assignments and undertakings amount to a very wide range of formal and practical expertise from technical to economic and social/cultural issues. His work has focused on start-up or reorganising operations together with defining business plans and customer benefit elements, in-cluding development of curriculum and competence development programs.

Benno has been working in a number of countries world-wide: Sweden, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Zambia, Jordan, Rumania, Hungary, Poland, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Cambodia, and Albania.

Language proficiency: Swedish (mother tongue), English (fluent), French and German (fair).
